Day 42

Weight: 13 stone 8 lb

Lost: 1 lb

Total weight loss since day 1: 1 stone 7 lb

Another pound bites the dust!

As it's Wednesday tomorrow I will be fasting and only drinking water so hopefully that will shift a few more pounds. The last fast I did was pretty easy so I'm hoping this one will be the same.

This morning I decided I would give the smoothie a body swerve because yesterday I felt a bit queasy in the gym with all the CV exertions, so I just ate 2 bananas instead, then went off to the gym for a 2 HOUR workout - phew!

It was upper-body day today, starting on the rower then heading into the weights doing 4 sets of 20 reps for each exercise involving my poor arms, shoulders and back!

Then I was to finish off with a bit of CV work...a whole 15 mins on the stepper, 10 mins on the bike and 10 mins on the treadmill. Now the treadmill was supposed to be 'rapido', but I opted for 'andando rapido' (fast walking) as all my muscles were about to give up completely and go home without me.

Whether I'll be able to get out of bed tomorrow...we'll have to wait and see!

Ok let's talk about food...the Corn Kale chips turned out lovely. Crispy, tasty and they go really well with the raw hummus spread on top of them...so I will definitely be making some more of these.

A friend of mine commented that the Corn Kale chips would go well with gravy...I know he was taking the pee wee,but here is an actual recipe for raw gravy:

1 cup mushrooms
1/2 onion
2 tsp tamari
1 tbspn extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp sage
1 tsp thyme
2 dates
water as needed

Blend all the ingredients until smooth.

So, this is just for you Peter Carter.

Lunchtime I consumed 1 avocado, olives and Corn Kale chips, dinner consisted of a large salad.

I know I didn't eat much today but I just wasn't hungry, even though it was a cold, grey day, I could have easily fasted...but I will save that for tomorrow and then Thursday I know I'll be hungry.

To sum up, I'm happy with my diet, the loss of weight and eventually I will be happy with my new workout regime (once it gets easier).

Hasta pronto
