Total weight loss since day 1: 1 stone 3 lb
Even though I didn't drop a pound today, what's becoming more important to me now is the way that I'm actually feeling, not only physically but mentally and emotionally.
I feel fitter and stronger than I have for a long time and I have a very positive outlook on life and believe that anything is possible, because we live in a world of infinite possibilities. What we give our attention to, we attract more of the same. Thus my whole focus has been on well-being and positivity and I feel that this focus is getting stronger, though I do get the occasional dips now and again but these are rarer nowadays.
Had the best session in the gym since I started...powering through my CV exertions and pushing myself through the weights. The sit-ups are even getting easier as well.
Before I went off to the gym I made myself a big green smoothie of kale, banana and kiwi. These drinks are giving me the energy I need to not only get me through my workout but the rest of the day also.
For lunch I had 2 avocados as I wasn't really fancying anything sweet and I was craving some fat in my diet.
During the afternoon I cleaned out the chicken pen (yes I keep chickens but they are pets and I give the eggs away to friends). I've got 4 chickens and they have a lovely big run and they get let out in the afternoon to stroll around the acre of land that I have. At night they take themselves back into their pen and into their hen house, where I go out and shut the door so that they are secure at night as we do have foxes and genets to worry about.
I did notice one of the hens had lost some feathers on her chest and was very red and sore, so I grabbed the Sudocrem and applied it to her sore area. After checking the hen house I discovered there were a few mites in the laying area and set about getting rid of them with some anti-mite spray that I have. Also gave all of the hens a a good dusting with some special powder to stop the mites from spreading.
It's not just about keeping hens but it's also about looking out for their well-being and health. I did have 6 hens to start with but it gets very hot up here in the Campo and I did lose 2 of them to the heat, no matter how much shade you put up or water available, these things happen.
So now I have 4 and I look out for them as best I can and they have a very, very good life here...with lots to eat and lots of space to run around in.
Chicks eating yoghurt on bread (their favourite!)
I made myself a large salad for dinner comprising of 2 different types of lettuce leaves, cucumber, carrot, red pepper, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins, walnuts, tomatoes, black and green olives.
Feeling very tired now and in need of a good night's sleep as the last 2 nights I haven't slept too well, reason being unknown...but I'm sure I'll sleep tonight.
Hasta pronto
