Day 40

Weight: 13 stone 9 lb

Added: 1 lb

Total weight loss since day 1: 1 stone 6 lb

Ok after my weekend of going off the rails very slightly, the damage was kept to a minimum and I only gained 1 lb, which I'm happy that it wasn't more!

At the party last night there was some salad stuff which I did consume along with vegetable curry, rice and yes a few chips (one of my weaknesses!) and I'll be very honest with you guys...I did go up for another portion but it was smaller than the first portion. I also kept that promise to myself that I wouldn't drink any alcohol, instead I had 4 bottles of sparkling mineral water!

At the party there was a quiz which unfortunately my partner won and the prize was...chocolates! Bloomin' heck!

Me having a Cadbury's Creme Egg moment

I promise you that it was only the packet that crossed my lips and not the chocolate itself!

This leads me into Sunday...as I was still extremely full from last night's cooked food, the only thing I could manage was a large glass of orange juice and this really did keep me full until lunchtime where I headed out for lunch to a typical Spanish restaurante and had a tropical salad (veggie version), berenjenas con miel de caña, patatas bravas, washed down with...you guessed it, agua

So that was me done food-wise for the day and I will be back to my fully raw ways tomorrow.

What I am really proud of that I can take from this weekend is that I didn't drink any alcohol and I'm so glad I didn't because I do feel so, so much better for it.

I found that since I've been on the raw food diet and I may be repeating myself but...my body cannot tolerate alcohol anymore, I can even feel the effects of one glass, and not in a good way. So, I'm glad I've gone raw as it's got me off the alcohol, I just don't want to drink anymore and I don't need alcohol to get up and sing karaoke (very badly, 3 times no less). In the past I needed to have a few wines to do this where now I have the confidence to do it sober and I realise how bad I actually sound...AND remember it, but hey! I had fun and I made people laugh (unintentionally mind!)

I just had to share this photo of my cat Polo...you may recognise Polo from a previous photo I posted of him posing with a green smoothie. This time, Polo wasn't on the dining room table but instead he'd taken up residence on my bed. Now I've been teaching him a few yoga moves and I caught him practising one of them earlier this afternoon. I really do think he's getting the hang of it now...so good on you Polo!

Back in the gym tomorrow and I will have a new workout card...how exciting!

Ooh and I will make something tomorrow and post it on me blog.

Hasta pronto
