After not losing anything yesterday I was happy to see that I lost a pound.
I've worked it out that I need to lose about 1/2 a pound a day to achieve my target weight by the end of the month, which is to be 12 stone 13 lb.
At this point I believe that it's very achievable and I know I can make it happen, even if I have to be a little hard on myself.
Talking about being hard on myself...I did something that I have never done before and that is to fast and only drink water...and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
I didn't actually come to the decision to fast until this morning because my belly was feeling a little bit bloated and painful, so I thought I'd give it a day off and it worked wonders as I feel really good now typing this blog this evening. I wouldn't actually say that I'm starving hungry but I would never refuse a plate of chips if offered!
I'm amazed at my discipline to be so strong-willed as to not eat all day... and not even a cup of herbal tea in sight, just plain ol' bottled water!
So how did I feel? I had no detox effects, which I'm surprised as I expected at least a headache...but no, nothing at all...just...normal. Yes, I do feel lighter and I would even say that I have a calm, relaxed feeling about me.
A while ago I read somewhere that some people do fast once a week on a regular basis and receive great health benefits from it. Maybe this is something that I should incorporate into my new lifestyle...

Tomorrow things get back to normal: green smoothie, salad, fruit and of course my workout in the gym.
